1. Without a doubt, Cheekwood comes in at #1. Their ‘Cheekwood Harvest’ is open from September 21^st through October 21^st. That means that you have 2 more weeks to get your fill of all things pumpkin. There are activities for the kids and activities for adults too. Go see their renowned pumpkin house and snap an Instagram-worthy picture for all your friends and followers to see. Each weekend is full of different activities so check out their website before going so you know what you’re in for!

2. Lucky Ladd’s is another fun place to go with the whole family. They have pumpkin patches, corn mazes, petting zoos, tire swings and an 80 foot mega slide among other things! Parents – this is the perfect place to take your kids to tire them out so they sleep on the whole ride home! They’re open through the 28^th of October, which gives you plenty of time to take advantage of all of the fall festivities.

3. If you feel like waiting until after the Halloween chaos has ended, Honeysuckle Hill Farm in Springfield is open until November 3^rd. That means less crowds and way shorter lines – both positives, right?! With hillbilly pig races, hayrides, zip lines, bungee trampolines and more, this is another good place to go with kids and adults alike!

4. Take a trip out to Gentry’s Farm in Franklin while they celebrate all the harvest season has to offer. They offer pre-picked pumpkins as well as pumpkins you can pick yourself. (We think the latter sounds more fun!) Most known for their activity area with a wide range of farm fun activities, grab your best pals and head out to spend a Saturday on the farm!

5. Pumpkin fudge, chocolate dipped cheesecake, roasted pumpkin seeds, funnel cake….have we caught your attention yet? After reading about all those delicious treats that Walden Farm serve, our mouths are watering profusely! At Walden Farm, you can grab some yummy treats, go on a hayride, and find the perfect pumpkin to take home a carve!

6. Fiddle Dee Farms may have the most challenging corn maze EVER with 8 acres of twists and turns. Need a good challenge, we dare you to go check it out! In addition to that, there are hayrides, pumpkins (duh, it’s a pumpkin patch), magic shows, homemade ice cream and more! You can grab your season pass so you can go whenever you want or just go for a day!

7. Nashville Farmers Market may not have all the fun games and corn mazes that the other pumpkin patches do, but they sure do have a lot of pumpkins! If you don’t have time to visit a pumpkin patch this year but still want to take part in the festivities of decorating with pumpkins, the Farmers Market is the place to go. Plus, there are all sorts of other yummy goodies too!

8. Stop by Bottom View Farm for their annual fall festival! There will be a pumpkin patch, train rides and so many other fun activities for the kids.

9. Pumpkinfest in Franklin – yes, yes, we know this isn’t a pumpkin patch. BUT, the event has the word ‘pumpkin’ in it’s name so it fits, right? On the last Saturday in October, make your way to Pumpkinfest! It’s a free street festival that features costume contests, children’s activities, food and drink vendors, beer gardens, pumpkin carving and live entertainment! Franklin’s sister city in Canada is growing the Great Pumpkin – you can stop by and guess it’s weight! Make sure to bring your cameras because this is a photo worthy event!

Football season brings back memories of high school and college games that we get to tell stories of every weekend!

Once you have a team, that team will get passed down from generation to generation.

Mondays suck. But there’s something about MNF that has us rushing through the weekend.

Buying a t-shirt from every vacay you go on for years can take up way too much space in your dresser or closet. Hats can be stored and rotated easily and are usually cheaper than t-shirts!

#3: Stickers

Stickers are so fun! You can keep them all together without taking the backs off, or you can decorate your favorite items! Many people like to sticker their laptops and water bottles.

#4:Seashells

If your idea of the perfect getaway is going to the beach, then this is a cheap and beautiful souvenir. Everyone loves hunting for the most unique shell on the beach. Once you find the perfect shell, write what beach you found it on and the year. This is a small way to remember each beach trip forever!

#5: Coins

Coins have been a popular collectors item for a long time. Mostly due to the fact that some are very rare and were only made one time! This is a great collection to start if you are a history buff or interested in a collection that could produce a valuable return.

#6: Buttons

Buttons are one of the more easier collections to display. All you have to do is decide where to pin them! It could also been fun to search for vintage buttons at flea markets or craft fairs!

#7: Coffee Mugs

Coffee lovers, what better excuse for a new coffee mug? Every morning you could look back on the memories you made at the different places you purchased your mugs from!

#8: Bottle Caps

Every time you try a new drink (beer) in a bottle, save the cap! You could display them easily by making crafts out of them. There are hundreds of DIY videos on making table tops, picture frames, etc. out of bottle caps!

#9: Key Chains

Who doesn’t love a good key chain? These are easy to find, easy to display, and easy to store. If you hate clutter, this is the collection for you!

#1- Zoo

No one is ever to old for the zoo! This is a perfect opportunity to bond if the relationship is new. Plus, cute photo opps!

#2- Hiking Trip

This is only a good idea if your date is okay with nature. Try to find a hiking trail that leads to a cool waterfall or a scenic outlook. *insert perfect first kiss moment*

#3- Bowling/ Pool Hall

Nothing will tell you more about a relationship than a little friendly competition! If the competition turns unfriendly, then you know to run. Run fast out of that relationship.

#4- Painting with a Twist

How much fun would it be to see who is the better artist of the two? Adding a little wine could be fun too.

#5- Go to the park and fly a kite

Flying a kite is something many people forget about by the time they turn ten years old. Turns out, it’s still fun, especially if you’re doing it with someone special!

#6- Canoeing/ Kayaking

This could be a whole day or turn it into a weekend camping trip! Spend some time soaking up with sun with your honey.

#7- Go to a concert

If y’all have the same music taste, you have won half the relationship battle!

#8- Drive-In movies

Normally, we would never suggest a movie date, because there’s no time for talking and getting to know one another. But, drive-ins are an exception because they make for great memories.

#9- Water Park/ Amusement Park

This could be another weekend trip. You can find small water parks or big amusement parks. Whatever your looking for, this is a great date idea!

#1: CMA Fest
This event is prepped for all year long and people come from all over the globe (literally) to experience CMA week. If you do not have plans to attend, I suggest you make some. Trust me, you want to be here. It is only the biggest week in country music, ever.

#2: Nashville Shores
Being the largest waterpark in the area and so much fun for the whole family! It also includes an inflatable park on Percy Priest Lake with a sandy beach. You are practically at your favorite beach when you come here!

#3: Renaissance Festival
Go back in time! The Renaissance Festival is a classic Nashville summer adventure. The festival lasts every weekend in May, including Memorial Day weekend!

#4: Nashville sporting events
Between the Nashville Sounds baseball team and the Nashville Soccer Club, there are plenty of games and tailgating to go around this summer. Tickets are fairly cheap, and Nashville’s sports fans are a pretty wild time!

#5: Rent a boat from Nashville Boat Club
With renting available on three lakes in Middle Tennessee, there is no excuse for you to not get out on the lake this summer. Grab your water skis and all the kiddos and have some fun in the sun!

#6: Lucky Ladd Farms
Not only is this the biggest petting zoo in Nashville, it is the largest in the state of Tennessee! Your children will love this over 100 animals, 60-acre farm!
#7: Cheekwood Estate and Gardens
Cheekwood is full of summertime fun! Whether you are exploring the acres of flowers and statues or attending a live music concert, you are guaranteed a thrilling time at Cheekwood!
#8: Nashville Zoo
Let’s be honest, even the adults love the zoo! The Nashville Zoo is extremely impressive with their interactive kangaroo exhibit, the indoor insect exhibit, and so much more fun for the whole family!

#9: Arrington Vineyards
Once you have taken the kids on the endless adventures listed above, you are going to want to (wine) down with some adult time. Arrington Vineyards is known for having live music on the lawn and of course, wine tasting. This sounds like a perfect summer afternoon to me!

Tip #1 – Movie Night

Grab all your favorite chick flicks, preferably the ones with Channing Tatum (duh), and binge watch with all your girls. You can’t go wrong with “Bridesmaids”, “She’s the Man”, “Mean Girls”, and “John Tucker Must Die.” Requirements: Popcorn and comfy pajamas.

Tip #2 – Painting Party

Provide an assortment and colored paints, a few canvases, and all the creativity you can summon. Maybe give everyone an object to paint such as a vase with flowers or a meadow with the open sky above. Then when you all show off your masterpieces, you can bring them all home!

Tip #3 – Clothing Swap

Sick of your same-old outfits? This clothing swap night would be a great solution to that problem! Everyone brings 5 items that they no longer wear, don’t fit, but are still in good condition. Set up a dressing room in the bathroom, a rack for the clothes, and an accessory table for everything else. Everyone gets to leave with 5 “new” clothing items!

Tip #4 – Game Night

Time to pull out the board games and get competitive. Games like “Life”, “Clue”, and “Sorry” are perfect for a girls night in. Create teams or have different board games going at the same time to make sure everyone gets to play!

Tip #5 – Wine & Cheese Tasting

Pick up five tasty cheeses and pair them with appropriate wines for everyone to “taste.” Here are some ideas: Pinot Grigio and mozzarella, Pinot Noir and brie, Malbec and aged cheddar, chardonnay and gruyere, or port and bleu cheese.

Tip #6 – Spa Night

Oh yes, I’m talking facials, massages, mani-pedis, and makeup. Set up different stations around the house and hire mobile services, masseuses, etc to come and pamper your girlfriends!

Tip #7 – Become a Pro

Talk to your girls and figure out an activity or skill that everyone has been dying to learn! Host a dance class, crafting class, cooking class or anything else right at home! Hire a local professional to come teach you and your friends a fun new skill that will leave you all feeling empowered!

Tip #8 – Cooking Competition!

Invite all your girls over for a cooking competition! Pick a category: apps, entrees, desserts, pizza, whatever! And everyone has to make their BEST dish throughout the night! While food is cooking, play some board games! Whoever has the tastiest dish and the most votes WINS.

Complete with a ton of pillows, man gossip, dance parties and old movie marathons. The whole 9 yards!

We will be hosting three easter egg hunts throughout the day on the First Tennessee Park field! We’ve worked tirelessly stuffing thousands of eggs with candy and it’ll be great fun watching the kiddos hunt for all those eggs!

Planet Fitness is hosting a speaker series at SportsFest 2018 which will include Titans players, UT players, and many more!

Tip #3 – Band Box (Holla!!)

The band box is the place to be tbh. There will be corn hole, Daddy and Me catch, and MINI GOLLLLFFF. Who wouldn’t want to hang out there ALL DAY??

Tip #4 – Photos with Your Fave Bunny

Your kiddos can snap some photos with the world famous Easter Bunny! He’s got some off time before the the big Easter weekend so he decided to come hang out at SportsFest and you should too!

There’s literally nothing more fun than inflatable bouncy castles.

Tip #1 – Flowers & Chocolate

We have to start with the most typical Valentine’s Day gifts, flowers and chocolate. No one in their right mind would say no to flowers and chocolate. I recommend having something else up your sleeve though to surprise bae with other than the usual flowers and chocolate.

Tip #2 – Build a Fort !!!

Can you actually think of a better way to spend the day? Also, I feel like building a fort can either bond you and your significant other or just completely tear you a part because building a fort can be stressful, but if you guys can build a beautiful fort together you’re probably meant to be.

Tip #3 – Cook their Favorite Meal

I absolutely love when someone cooks me dinner. I find it incredibly romantic and thoughtful. So why not cook their favorite meal and make them feel special? It’s probably cheaper than going out to eat anyway!

Tip #4 – Write a Love Letter/Poem

YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS. There is seriously nothing sweeter than receiving a love letter from someone you adore. It’s the absolute best.

Tip #5 – Re-create Your First Date

Okay. What. This is so cute. Please do this and post on Instagram about it because I’d probably die if someone did this for me.

Tip #6 – “100 Reasons Why I Love You”

Literally just grab a piece of paper and write down every little thing you love about them until you reach 100. HOW SWEET IS THAT.

Tip #7 – Treasure Hunt

Create a treasure hunt with clues and inside jokes and gifts that will take them all over town to places like where you first met, when you first realized you loved them, where your first date was, etc. This will probably keep them busy all day.

Tip #8 – Plan a Weekend Getaway

Surprise bae with a weekend getaway that you planned! Take them somewhere they’ve always wanted to go or somewhere you know they’ve never been. What a sweet surprise!

Tip #9 – D. All of the Above

Okay if you do everything I’ve mentioned on this list, that’s it. You’ve done it. You win Valentine’s Day.

Tip #1 – Before you even get to their house, figure out who you’ll be meeting

Mom? Step-dad? Crazy Uncle Lou? The family dog, King? Ask your partner to give you the low down on everyone so you know just what you’re getting into and also what you’d be able to talk about them with when you’re left to have one on one conversations with every family member.

Tip #2 – If You’re Staying the Night, Plan On Sleeping in Different Beds

It does depend on how long you’ve been dating your partner, and how old you both are. However, if they set you up in different rooms, be respectful and don’t sneak into each others’ rooms late at night. Restrain yourselves please.

Tip #3 – Bring Flowers or Wine

It is extremely respectful and customary for you to bring a gift for the hostess when being welcomed into their home. Figure out what type of wine your partner’s family likes and grab a bottle before you go.

Tip #4 – One on One Time

If you’re staying in your partner’s hometown for a few days, plan some alone time for you too. Have them give you a mini tour of the town or go to their favorite breakfast place in town one day. Just spend some alone time together to calm your nerves.

Tip #5 – Don’t Get Drunk for the Love of all Things Holy

Even if their family members are getting sloshed, restrain yourself from over-drinking. If you marry this person, you will NEVER. LIVE. DOWN. a crazy drunk story about you and your first meal with their family.

Tip #6 – Compliment Dinner !!!!

Be sure to compliment whoever prepared the dinner, whether it be you partner’s mom or dad or uncle or whoever. It’s respectful to recognize someone’s hard work especially when you’re trying to impress the fam.

Tip #7 – PDA? Naw.

Don’t get too frisky with your partner during dinner or while spending time at their house. It can be awkward and uncomfortable for everyone. Hand holding and innocent gestures are just fine but play it cool. Again, restrain yourself.

Tip #8 – Offer to Help

If you get there before dinner is fully prepared, offer to help! It’ll come across as very thoughtful and as though you have a genuine interest in making this meal easier for your partner’s parents.

Tip #9 – Be Yourself!

Don’t get caught up in trying to over-impress everyone and forget to be yourself! It’s important that your partner’s family gets to know the real you. So just relax, tell some stories, be respectful and you’ll impress the crap outta them.
